The #iKTribe is a family, built on different personalities, backgrounds, talents and abilities. Meet Mel, our Finance Fundi and Management Accountant at iKhokha. She has a great sense of humour, quirky perspective and is just a hellava awesome someone. Here’s what Mel had to say:

Who is Melissa?

I am a down to earth, easy going, fun loving person (or at least I try to be 😉) I love anything cats and absolutely despise people who have no respect for our country’s laws! For fun, I love to run – 21km is my game. I am driven by the desire to persevere and achieve at any given task.

What’s your role at iKhokha?

I’m the Management Accountant and I deal with the day-to-day running of the numbers behind this card machine business 😊

Who is Mel outside of iKhokha?

Outside of iKhokha, I am wife to my incredible husband and love to spend time with family and friends. Oh oh, I do wish I spent more time on the beach haha.

What’s your biggest strength?

Mmmm…my biggest strength is my ability to tackle a challenge, head on.

What is the name of the last book you read?

Everything is F*#ked by Mark Manson.

Your advice to yourself on how to handle a stressful situation?

Stop. Take a step back and understand the situation. Then dive right in and deal with it.

If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?

Green.

My plastic shoes! Oh yeah hahaha.
